admissions requirements


congratulations on taking the first step to realizing your career goals! you’ve made an excellent choice in selecting stratford university as your entry into higher education. to make sure that you’re able to enroll in our next academic period, please review the following requirements and criteria outlined below. representatives in our admissions department are standing by to help you determine if you fit these prerequisites and will schedule an appointment with the dean of your desired program to assess your candidacy, if necessary. the following sections will provide you with in-depth information about our undergraduate and graduate admissions requirements.


undergraduate admissions requirements

to be admitted to an undergraduate degree program, you must first meet the following enrollment requirements:

• high school diploma or ged – you will need to submit a copy of your high school diploma or ged. official transcripts can also be submitted as proof of graduation or ged completion.

• english language proficiency – you can take either the toefl or ielts language test. the cut-off score for toefl is 79 (ibt) or 213 (cbt). the cut-off for ielts is a 6.5-band. this requirement is waived if your native language is english or if you have obtained a degree from an english-speaking country.

graduate admissions requirements

the application process requires the following steps for domestic graduate students. interested students may submit documents in person, via fax, e-mail, or u.s. post. for application documents, please contact the office of admissions at the appropriate campus. students who wish to upgrade from an undergraduate to graduate degree may do so through the office of admissions.

• all applicants must complete an application for admission and pay the non-refundable application fee. this may be completed on the university’s website or in the office of admissions.

• complete the enrollment agreement which includes emergency contact information, acknowledgement of university policies, and student information release.

• meet english language requirement, if english is not the primary language.

• submit official bachelor’s degree transcript, official master’s degree transcript, or equivalent.

• submit official transcripts or equivalent from all colleges or universities attended, if applicable.

• students admitted without a 2.5 bachelor’s gpa must also submit a letter of intent to complete the program explaining the low gpa and strategy for success in the master’s program and a resume. in the case he/she does not have three years of working experience, a letter of recommendation from a supervisor.

when enrolling for undergraduate classes prior to high school graduation

you may take undergraduate courses prior to completion of your high school program if you have received permission from your advisor and maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. final acceptance into the degree program will only be granted when you successfully complete you high school program or ged.

make sure to complete and submit the following enrollment documents. these documents will help you choose the right academic program and will help us assess your eligibility for financial aid.


  • application for admissions

  • proof of language proficiency (if required)
  • gre or gmat test scores (if required)
  • proof of financial support (international students only)
  • copy of passport (international students only)
  • application fee (usd $50)

payment process

you can complete the admissions application and pay the application fee online. payments can be made directly at the admissions office with cash, check, money order, credit card or debit card. click here for the addresses of the admissions offices on each stratford university campus.


acceptance by stratford

the acceptance committee will review your application. if you meet admission requirements, you will be accepted into your desired program!


our goal is to give you every opportunity to become a successful stratford student. if the committee has additional questions about your application or entrance exams, you may be invited for a personal interview with the program dean or may be required to complete an additional assessment.

TUITION & fees

investing in your education is the best investment you will ever make.

stratford university charges on a per credit basis.


  • courses are 4.5 credits
  • associate’s degrees are 20 courses (90 credits)
  • bachelor’s degrees are 40 courses (180 credits)
  • master’s degrees are 12 courses (54 credits)

the process

the tuition cost per credit is given on the table below. textbooks, other than those used in general education courses, are complimentary to registered students.


the non-refundable application fee is $50. some classes may have supply and laboratory fees that are not included in the tuition. other fees include withdrawal fee, graduation fee, and activity fee. please view the university catalog for details and specific amounts.
